Interpretation: A hunger and a thirst not only for the righteousness of God in yourselves, but a RIGHTupon the earth.
A hunger and a thirst for goodness and holiness.
Satan tries to deceive us and distort the "hunger and thirst inside of us." And we may be deceived for awhile, thinking we have "filled"that hunger and thirst with material things, jobs, or other people, money, drugs, and it goes on and on.
But there is only one place we can be filled.
No longer thirsting or hungry, but, Filled and Satisfied,
That's in God. 


We were born to be thirsting and hungry for "something" - If only we would know from the first - the only satisfaction we can have is
In God.
